Let your voice be heard that you support limiting the size and length of bills, and making bills coherent for the American people and members of Congress to read and understand.
The Truth Act*makes the bills simple not “voluminous” and easy to understand not “incoherent” for both legislators and the American people.† Thus, it will be beneficial to the people, and to the Republic, that “laws are made by men of their own choice.”
T-The bills (including amendments) put forth by legislators are to be limited to single subjects,†and THIRTY pages, with U.S.†legal code interpretations in the side margins. An accompanying version of the bill is to be written in 5th grade reading level for easy and nationwide comprehension.
R-The bills (and consequent amendments) are to be READ by the legislators – the new amendments are to be underlined with the old version included for clarity. They are to be available for the American people to read – at least thirty days before voting.
U-The bills (and consequent amendments) are to be UNDERSTOOD by the legislators.
T-Before voting on the bills, Congressmen and Senators are to TESTIFY under oath that they have read and understood the bills and consequent amendments to the bills.
H-The American people are to HEAR the proposed – and final – version of the bills. The bills are to be read on camera and put online so that the people may HEAR (as well as read) the bill at least 30 days before voting on the bill occurs.
The indeterminably disastrous†effects of such voluminous and incoherent bills such as the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare), Dodd Frank, the Patriot Act and the upcoming Immigration Bill are all examples of bills that were/are too voluminous and incoherent for both legislators and the American people, leading to America’s demise and Americans loss of liberty.

i like this idea, it adds another layer of communication to each other other then trying to wade through the main media looking for information on who is telling you the truth and who is just looking for pats on the back to stay in office. you should add that when bills are submitted, Reps & Sens are to be required to show how their Bills fulfill Constitutional requirements (are constitutional in nature) before they can be voted on and made law.

I just wish someone would get a petition or action started against Obama for his treasonous acts. It has been proven he attacked Lybia without Congressional consent, now he has kidnapped a citizen of Lybia without a warrant or going thru the Lydian government. That is just 2 acts. He has done more harm to our country in 5 years, than since America’s birth.

Janine you are wonderful, and so much more. It is beyond me why men we have elected regardless of party leave their common sense behind when they go to Washington. As well as their Patriotism which would require them to do morally what is best for the country, again regardless. Term Limits need to be imposed, our founders never foresaw any one spending 40 years in Congress. Term Limits, two three year terms for a Senator and two four year terms for a Congressman. Their home state PAYS THEIR SALARY and provides a modest domicile for the time they spend in Washington. Their home State should also provide for their Health Insurance while in office. No retirement, medical insurance or any other benefits when they leave office, either Federal or State, (THEY CAME TO SERVE, NOT TAKE). GOD BLESS. Jerry Scott
In addition to what you suggest, Jerry, it would be nice, though fanciful, to see an appeal of the Seventeenth Amendment, which would give back to the states the power that the founding fathers originally intended them to have under Article I, §3, Clauses 1 and 2 of the Constitution, under which senators were elected by state legislatures.

I have Always Loved this country and what it stood for, and I see the current administration and Current politicians in Congress taking our country to a point of No Return. I could not believe when Nancy Pelosi was saying , “We need to get this bill passed ( Obamacare), and Then you can read it,.. and They Did!! That was to me a major slap in the face by our Entire Government. I am behind you all the way. WHO IS GIVING THE DIRECTIONS. LOCAL, FEDERAL, AND GOV. ALL DO
AS THEY PLEASE…..THATS NOT RIGHT, IT’S CAUSING A MASSIVE BREAKDOWN IN THE LAWS, THE LEADERSHIP AND OUR STRUCTURE
AS A COUNTRY! IT’S REAL SCAREY WHAT’S GONNA HAPPEN IF WE
